*Bourjois Vox Box #VelvetTheLipstick

"A Grateful Heart Is A Magnet For Miracles..."

Yes, I know it's been a very long time since I posted here on my blog-sorry! Long story short, I accidentally broke the Mac I was using and I was hoping it would get fixed however, it can't so we're saving up to get a new one. In the mean time I am going to use my old laptop which is fine it's just a tad slow and anyhow I have so much to catch up on it'll just have to do!
In this post I am going to be reviewing the 12 Bourjois Rouge Velvet The Lipstick collection which I was kindly gifted from Influenster as part of their Vox Box. You have probably seen these all over social media this past month and with good reason too because I am in love with them!
If you would like to read why then please continue scrolling...

The formula to these lipsticks is extremely smooth and soft. If you have seen any of my posts about these on Instagram or Twitter you will have read that I love how moisturising they are. They feel like you are wearing a lipstick and lip balm at the same time. Due to them being a velvet finish they don't have that very dry, matte feel to them which I find extremely uncomfortable. They do dry down more 'matte' looking throughout the day but they still feel like you wearing a lip balm.
The lipstick is shaped differently to others on the market as the tip is more pointed. For me I have used this to outline my lips first and then fill in the middle and I do prefer this shape however, it will be interesting to see how well the lipstick keeps this shape after multiple uses.

I would say out of the 12 shades here I would definitely wear at least 9 of them. There is a shade for everyone and although some of them look similar to one another, you can see from the swatches they have different undertones. I would love to see them add more nude shades as the lightest colour here #1 'Hey Nude' really doesn't suit me but, I do love wearing the pinks for every day. I am really looking forward to wearing #11 'Berry Formidable' with a super Autumnal outfit, the red berry shade would look perfect with a tartan scarf I have!

I don't really have anything negative to say, the only thing I will say is that they cost approx £9 each. Now I know that isn't crazy expensive and yes I do own lipsticks that cost more than that however, I usually spend around £5-£6 on high street lipsticks. The good thing about it being a high street brand though is that there are always deals and offers on!

Please let me know if you want to know more about these lipsticks and I will happily answer any questions you may have.

Much love as always,

Jade x

*These lipsticks were sent to me complimentary for reviewing purposes. All opinions are 100% honest and my own.

  1. I love the look of these shades! Particularly the berry shades for Autumn looks right now. I may have to pick a couple up <3
